Kids Intro to Kayaking
Our Intro to Kayaking sessions are open to kids aged 6-12. Paddlers will learn the basic strokes of kayaking and safety aspects of kayaking. The program is designed as a progression towards further kayaking activities both recreational and competitive. After paddlers have gained the required skills they will be invited to attend Development Group paddling sessions.
Dates – Tuesday nights -2 June to 22 Sept
Time – 5:30 to 7:00
Location – Port Sydney – Muskoka River
Program Costs -
- $140 + HST
- $16 – Whitewater Ontario membership 2020
Drop in option – Drop in sessions are available at a cost of $20 per session.
Equipment – Kayak, paddle, helmet and sprayskirt use is included in price of sessions.
Requirements -
- Whitewater Ontario membership
- Signed waiver
- Age 6+
- Comfortable when immersed in water 🙂
- Parents must be available to offer assistance to their child for the entire duration of the lesson.
- Paddlers must wear clothing suitable for the weather conditions.
- All paddlers should wear footwear that protects their feet.
